After watching this video I got a major craving to play old school Mario over and over with this playing in the background. This is just simply the best in Nintendocore. Ever.
I fucking love SKELETONWITCH (all caps because they rule). Their brand of thrash-death-black-metal is exactly what every neo thrash band that is saturating metal labels everywhere wishes they could sound like. I highly recommend both “Beyond The Permafrost” and their new recently released full length, “Breathing The Fire”.

I like grindcore. A lot. I also like it when grind bands express themselves in as many ways possible. If it means having a giant pot monster come onto the stage during your set, awesome. If it means creating a dvd-audio noise-ambient-doom record companion piece, awesome. If it means having beach balls, a mini basketball hoop, basketball, man-thongs, and full frontal nudity, awesome. If it means making a movie based on the concept record you made? Um…I guess?

First off, I didn’t really like Fuck The Facts‘ “Disgorge, Mexico”. I suppose I was still too busy digging the shit out of Pig Destroyers‘ “Phantom Limb”. And, I never would have even realized there was enough “concept” behind it to warrant a movie when I did take the time to listen to it. With that said I can’t exactly form an opinion here that a short film would be good or bad. Hell I haven’t even seen the movie! What’s the point of this post again?

Autopsies Rule
As their myspace indicates, Viraemia (pronounced Vi-ray-me-ah) is the presence of a virus in the bloodstream. Which is appropriate, because these guys have some infectious music. This is some insane, complex and compelling stuff. The guitarist and bassist shred with immense precision, proficiency and intensity. It’s as if Eddie Van Halen and Necrophagist had a baby with 8 hands, 2 guitars, 1 bass and an insatiable urge to tap and sweep pick. Check this vid of the bassist tearing apart his 10-string for a taste.
The vocalist is also good, alternating between death growls, black-metally screeches and grind chirps and pig grunts. And the drummer is good enough to keep up and add to the cacophony.
Also, the influence of early Carcass is apparent, not only from the autopsy art album cover, but also with medical text song titles such as “Disseminated Intravascular Coagul” and “Necrotizing Fasciitis”.
They only have a self-titled EP out which only has 5 songs (3 of which are streaming on their myspace) but is good enough to warrant attention.
Holy fucking feathers of Angels Batman! Wow. Just wow.

One redeeming quality to this video is watching all the teenage ‘thrashers get mowed down by the larger long hair cretins midway through this train wreck of a live performance by the ridiculously monikered “Dropping A Popped Locket” – a one man shit show of emo, crunk, and taped guitar and drum.
The other redeeming quality is turning it off.
This is one of the funniest music videos I’ve seen in some time. Makes me want to drink a case of PBR and make a suit of armor out of it. Watch until the end. Enjoy.

So it was a late Sunday night and I just finished off a bottle of Jose with a good friend. We were watching some old NIN videos and exploring the internets for other music videos from times once past. Amidst our joy of Reznors’ bygone years of video anguish, that’s when it happened; we stumbled across Attack Attack!’s “Stick Stickly” music video.
I know there is some bad music out there but this really takes the rude-boy-emo-lame-fuck-douche award of the year.
Where to start? How about at the beginning. Within 10 seconds of the start of the video you see these fucks bouncing around. I am going to venture out on a limb and say they are…headbanging while trying to shit? I dunno. This video has it all though. Dancing, techno beats, stupid hair cuts, synchronized hair throws, and what kind of stupid scenecore video would be complete without some meaningless hot chick.
An incorrect power stance (crabcore stance) will result in loss of vision, creativity, and produce shitstained undies.
The presence of auto tuned vocals also doesn’t help them either. Who’s bright idea was it that signed these guys? Please…shoot yourself in the face.
Also, just to clarify how exactly not metal these fucks are. See figures A, B, or C, on proper metal (power) stance. Note the abscense of any sort of “Crab” position in all three. These are the proper metal power stances defined by Thor and or Zeus themselves. The inventors of heavy fucking metal.
